The neutron therapy clinic at Fermilab has treated more than 3,100 patients and has been in operation longer than any other neutron therapy program
in the nation. In 2004, Northern Illinois University assumed management of the facility.

- adenoidcystic carcinoma
- locally advanced prostate cancer
- locally advanced head and neck tumors
